Everytime vista starts i get this

that's better. have you run a virus-scan? dowload ewido and give it a bash if you haven't

Does smell like a virus, try running a different scanner, also make sure they are up to date as an out of date virus scanner is like using a toothbrush to clean your car (it doesn't work).

You may also want to run a spyware adware program such as ad-aware.

It might also be helpful to try and recall if you did anything before this started happening, installed software, browsed a dodgy website etc

Might also be an idea to check the entries in MSConfig and Windows run in REGEDIT but don't just untick or delete them as that won't fix the problem, just hide it from you.

I'd also check for rogue processes in task manager. You might also want to do a search without the .rom (http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=wingzn32) which does highlight some stuff that sounds like what helmut mentioned.

You have any Apple or Quicktime software at all? Could it have auto updated and screwed itself up?

Maybe it is a virus that attaches itself to Apple software but as you don't have any you get a file not found error? (yeah longshot :P)

i have been messing with the RBE programme and i downloaded winflash from a website linked form RBE....When i tried to use the winflash prog nothing happened....maybe its not compatable with Vista 64 bit...i wonder if its something to do with that...when i think about it...this problem seems to have come after that

so you've tried to edit your Bios on your graphics card and now have this problem. I would uninstall your Radeon Bios Editor and then try reinstalling again, thats if you still need it, or do a system restore to a point before you ran Winflash.

it won't be a virus. that program is still running by the looks of it

i have sorted it....searched the registry for winflash and wingzn32.rom and deleted all references.....now ok

thx for the help guys

It might work but you shouldn't do that tbh.

Something added those entries and may add them again or left traces elsewhere. You are always best off removing them the same way they got there (i.e. uninstalling the program).

Manually removing entries from present programs can give you issues when you try to install or uninstall it again or worse.

run MSCONFIG and see what is starting up.. Disable anything that shouldn't be there, then go into service.msc and hide all Microsoft Services.. See what is running and disable what is not needed.
