I was just thinking of what was the last game that made me go oooooooo recently, as gaming hasnt been so great for me - not a lot of games doing it for me. My latest has got to be the COD4 ending - not the mile high club, the actual ending, was absolutly brilliant.

Then it got me thinking - what was my best gaming moment or my best thing that made me go ooooooooo?

A few really:

1) Sonic the Hedgehog on megadrive - got this when I was 3 in 1993, loved sonic so much - died me hair blue!

2) Fighting Force on PS1 - remember playing this with me mate on co-op when we was like 8 or 9 ish, was fantastic fun at the time.

3) Time Crisis on PS1 - just the fact that ive got something just like the arcade in my home! Loved it, played it for hours on end.

4) Final Fantasy 8 - for some reason, back in the day, I enjoyed this more than FF7 if I remember correctly - probably old enough to know what I was doing - I used a xplorer cheat cartridge for FF7, knights of the round materia from the get go ;)

5) Tekken 3 - Loved the game and graphics and everything. Plus the tekken force mode was different + BOWLING!

6) FFX - PS2 - Brilliant cutscenes and graphics. Only game to make me feel a bit emotional in! Still not completed it though.

7) Bioshock - 360 - Fantastic graphics and awesome atmosphere!

8) Duhhhh how can I forget! MGS4 - brilliant end to my fave game series, and the reason I bought a ps3! :D

And theres more , but I aint going to bore you all! :D

So whats yours?

The latest was GTA4, so many just cool moments. The first time i lost control of the car and my guy flew through the window and left a bloody mark on the side of a building was great :D

Seeing and playing Ridge Racer back when it first came out on the playstation - never ever seen anything like it outside of an arcade at the time.

I would say recently Mass effect really stunned me, it brought back those old feelings of attachment and sentiment to characters in games just like final fantasy 7 and grandia did on the psone.

Much more superficial, but the bit where you go on the moon and see the Earth up in the sky was a definite "oooooh" moment for me.

FF7 will never be replaced in my heart! Such a great game story still wows me today. Currently playing MGS4 the game just gets better and better! Can't beat the monkey in shiny pants! And with some of the best graphics I've experienced in a game.

the most recent ones for me:

MGS4 - story, gameplay, graphics.
Gears of War - first game that made me think "this is next gen graphics"

I'm a big fan, and it's the first game in a very long time that I looked forward to (StarCraft 2 is the only other one).

Surprisingly super stardust is my second favourite game of recent times but not worth keeping my PS3 for.

People say what you said about Halo 3, Brawl, New Mario Bros, Zelda OoT, StarCraft 1 etc...

MGS 4 ending was very good, CoD 4 nuke scene was also good, as was the start scene in CoD4 when you see through the persons view.

metal gear solid on the psx for me :) I was amazed at how much detail the story went into and background information etc
