1.00 GBP = 28,443,183,817.15 ZWD

Would this be similar with America where if going from England, things are cheaper as it's a weak dollar? So I could exchange say £1000 into ZWD, go over there, and live like a king? :p

Didn't something happen like this with the French currency in the sixties or something? I might have read that wrong though if anybody wishes to correct me..

Either the money would have lost all its value by the time you arrived, there'd be nothing to buy, or you'd get killed on arrival.

No

This is caused by a massive inflation rate. The money is that low in value because everything costs so much. Were talking billions of dollars for a loaf of bread.

thats only the "official" exchange rate. the actual exchange rate has been much higher than the official one for quite some time.

Could you not buy some and then wait for the economy to improve or are the chances of that next to nill or what?

Sure, what's to stop you from doing this? If they launch a new currency type, change all your money back to pounds before your Z$ is no longer legal tender?

1)what is the smallest note you can currently get? (I want the maximum number of notes possible)
2)Will most bureau de change have these in or will I have to phone ahead/wait a couple of days?

Same here, I'm quite willing to part with a few quid, if it means I have a suitcase with Billions of dollars in it :D

Cash will have to be ordered, and with the current situations in Zim, i doubt any mainstread company will do it.
