Feel sorry for those who work hard there and have found themselves penniless due to the circumstances :(

Hope they sort it out there tbh.

That said I'd like to build a playhouse for myself out of money. Or a throne. Or get the notes into a roll and use on special occasions ;)

Imagine using used Zimbabwe notes as bog roll. You wouldn't last the night.

That's what I thought.

Surely, if the money in the west is filthy... the money in Africa must be a major health risk. I wouldn't want a case of foreign diseases in my room to be honest.:p

You can always wash the money though ?
Banknotes in left in pockets come out safely after washing? Surely you could just dump the cash in the washing machine and wash it safely in one go ?

Then you have clean money you can use as toilet paper :D.

I dunno if they've ever had enough money to create money that is safe from a cycle in the washing machine. I'm sure I saw a show that tested many currencies in the wash, and not many of them survived at all.

The best bet would be to iron the notes individualy and try to steam them clean, I'd have thought. It might take a really long time though ... :p

just a note to anyone wanting to buy a crate of these notes (pun not intended), they're not banknotes, they're "Bearer's Cheques", which expire after a couple of weeks, they're printed on normal paper (not flax-paper like UK notes), only printed on one side and look plain dull.

:( shame, all the euro's of the past few years and the guilders before that easily survived washing.

Money laundering is illegal though.
