24 (The TV Show)

It's brilliant, my favourite series on TV. Only Sopranos comes close for me.

Where the hell is Season 7?

Evidently not mate :p.

Apparently we're getting a 2 hour 'prequel' to bridge the gap between 6 and 7 because of the delay caused by the writers' strike. Guessing this will be autumn-time, with S7 starting in January. They had the first 8 episodes in the can as of January this year, but didn't air them because of worries that they'd run out of episodes before the strike ended, and they'd have to take a mid-season break (which they haven't done yet).

BTW does anyone else find Chloe hawt?
Nooo, bring back EC (Kim)! :p

and... "To help offset the strike-induced delay, 24 will return on Sunday, November 23, 2008 with a two-hour prequel that will take place almost a year after day six and will "set up the story that launches season seven""

It's actually my least favourite series out of the ones I keep up to date with. Too many annoying characters I think. It's still pretty decent though.

I've got all 6 seasons on DVD but have resisted the temptation to start 6 yet until 7 is at least finished on TV if not around the corner for a DVD release itself.

Absolutely love the show myself, Season 3 went a little dodgy with the new characters they brought into it and I also didn't buy into Kim working for CTU but certainly Seasons 4 and 5 put the show back on track.

One thing I have noticed though is I just cant watch Season 1 again now, everything looks so dated and the story has moved on so much since then it's just really hard getting into it again which is odd because I can pick up say Lost and watch that back from Series 1 no problems

Wierd - i've just been re-watching this as well.

I used to think S2 was the best but i'm now convinced S5 is. S3 is a bit ridiculous and i'm enjoying watching S4 again, some of the set pieces are excellent. S2 does however have Kim at her best. If you fancied Chloe in S3 it's fair to say she comes through in S5.. Although my fav in that season is the new director (whose name escapes me)

Well I just watched the first episode of season 5 and although it was good, it was a little disappointing them killing off the main characters which make the show what it is :(

6 makes baby jesus cry - I find myself just walking out the room when it's on. For the other series I don't think I'd dare to blink in case I missed something.

Jack has shouted "DAMMIT" about 8 times though so it's not all bad.

They really need to start screening CTU employees a bit better.

Loved the early series, but in my opinion its been going downhill over the last few seasons. It all became too much like ..wow..that was a lucky coincedence ! ooh...now theres a stroke of luck, ooh its his long lost brothers fathers daughters wife who is behind it all ! Phew, what a lucky break that this particular item just happens to be right there at hand and so on.

I used to like a few of the characters but all the decent ones got axed, Chloe, the fat bloke and all the rest of them I find really annoying which is partially why the latest seasons have been quite poor. Hopefully with Tony back the new season brightens up a bit and they introduce some new characters.

s6 is all the other seasons wrapped into one, didnt like it much i just hope with the reboot there giving s7 it works or

I found it really boring a predictable after a while. Something bad happens, there is a a big baddies behind it. They catch the baddie, who works for and grasses on a bigger baddie, who works for a bigger baddie, rinse and repeat. I really could not care less if Jack had died, I found the minor characters far more interesting.

This series has nothing on The Wire or The Shield. HBO for the win.

i was just about to mention the shield too! i think it slightly edges it compared to 24 which peaked in season 4, with similar storylines being rehashed again (still good though)

SPOILER

I could have sworn they killed Tony off once and for all in Season 5? Shame they cant bring back Michelle as well - she is fit!

Season 1 is by far the best. You really get attached to the characters, whereas in the latest seasons there is new people nearly every episode.

Shame they killed the last of the half decent characters off in the last season. They need to tone down the amount of nukes too. The only characters I actually like any more is Chloe, Kim and Jack.
