Siren: Blood Curse (PS3)

I don't know what everyone thinks about this game, or whether they have tried the demo of the JP Marketplace but with a lack of horror survival games available this generation it's nice to see one arriving this month

Anyway release date for the UK/EU is 24th July, priced at either £4.99 per chapter or £19.99 for the lot (4 in total)

Personally I liked the demo, and even though the gfx weren't great the fantastic lighting & voice acting certainly made up for it.

Hide behind the two carts to sneak passed the man. Then pick up the weapon on the left wall (as you'll need it)

Nah, I did that and battered the lady afterwards, but got stuck after that. I can get on the roof of that hut thing, dunno what I'm supposed to do from there though!

I wasn't that impressed by the demo but as you say there's a lack of survival horror games at the moment so I might check the full game out. I'm even going back to play ones I missed like the Fatal Frame series on PS2.

I hope they fix the controls for the final release. Actually, having the controls be the way they are makes it even scarier to play. lol.

The controls are definately odd, but tbh once you get used to them I don't mind them. It would be nice to be able to read Japanese though as I'm sure that would help me understand what to do. Otherwise I like the feel of it, the fact that you are just a regular bod, and not some super cop.

Plus the fact that it looks really creepy, I have high hopes for this game atm
