..While lenses are being worn for when the user has allergic (or) other conjunctivitis. I saw them advertised on national tv here a few months back so I know that they're not prescription only drops (hence I'm not breaking the no medical advice rule here).

Does anybody have a name or company please? Because I don't have either googling fails.

chloramphenicol, but i don't think you should wear contacts if you have an eye infection, it can make it worse, and the preservative in the eye drops can damage some type of lens. I think the preservative free ones only come in prescription packs, and anyway they would be expensive.
EDIT: If you mean for hayfever, sodium cromoglicate (opticrom is one brand) might be what you are after. But you still can't wear soft contact lenses when using it.

Of course you are. If I asked for advice on taking ibuprofen or paracetamol to cure x ailment, I'd still be asking medical advice, even though the drugs are available in a supermarket.

I'm not asking peoples' opinions of eye drops or discussing how I should use it. I have seen one out there televised (description above), it's just that I have gone and forgotten it's name.

Sorry to thread hijack but suppose it keeps the forums clear.

I have Boots own brand contact lenses (simply because that's where I had my eye test done and that's the contacts they gave me, no choice offered) but I find my eyes can really ache even without prolonged use.

I know Johnson and Johnson do some lenses as well as other manufacturers. Anyone have any experience with these?

Most own-brand shop lenses are rebranded major makes. How long have you used them for? It takes a while to get used to them. You might be better off with a different type. Such as daily disposables (Fresh pair per day and thinner).

To the OP: Try asking in your opticians. Then google for a cheaper make.

You'd be silly to take meidcal advice from anybody on here; let alone other internet sites.

Go and ask a pharmacy ;)

hes not asking for medical advice though, hes asking if anyone remembers a certain brand of contacts that were advertised on tv
