OcUK Passing on our user account details to 3rd party shocker!

I just had an email thanking me for regestering for a website that I did not register for! Now the user ID and PASSWORD is the same as I use for OcUK forums - I DO NOT use these login details for any other website! The only way is for OcUK to pass on my details... I am very very suprised at OcUK. My PC is suitably protected.

Don't be ridiculous. Even the admins don't know your passwords.

They'd have to get it from the DB and decrypt it, which seems a little unlikely...

Very unlikely its been done by ocuk ( why would they? ) but i suggest a don contact you and get to the bottom of it.

Err... are you sure the email had your password? There was a spate of emails impersonating OcUK the other week, probably the same people. Usernames would obviously be simple to collect, but passwords is another matter.

Yeah, as seek said, the passwords are encrypted and cannot be seen by any of the Admins. Obviously your PC isn't "suitably protected"

It obviously won't be anything to do with OcUK but if you're still worried email an admin about it
