That's it AtreuS, get it off your chest! :D

When you done maybe you would care to load up some games and enjoy your new pocket rocket!

Don't worry I will find out what's going on with the missing stuff, but now its the weekend and time to chill!

I havnt bought one in just venting my spleen!:p

as this is a sapphire 4850 thread...... does anybody find the fan quite loud when setting the fan speed manually using the .xml file edit trick for the CCC. even at 40% it's too loud for me. and i'm certainly no quiet pc freak either. i guess i need a new 3rd party cooler..... :/

My card is still completely stock and appears to be running fine (and quiet).

Almost ready to start playing around with updated BIOS's etc, just been sent a modified Sapphire HD4850 BIOS thats meant to improve the fan cooling a bit.

My Sapphire 4850 is quiet apart from power-on when it spins the fan at fullspeed for a few secs. Cannot hear it at all otherwise even after gaming for a few hours. I have very good case ventilation though (3 x 120mm silent intake fans + 1 x 120mm silent exhaust fan).

I can't here either of my powercolor cards (Crossfire) when I set the fan manually @ 45%.

I notice the initial increase in fan speed when I set the profile but after a very short period I don't notice it.

if you dont get what you expect we have a great thing in the UK called traiding standards.

worth noting though is that most reviews on the new are from america which may well offer a totaly different package so shouldnt be taken as fact. here in the uk we generally dont get any of the bundles that come with the cards. believe me if it is with the card a retailer will be making a big fuss about it, if you see nothing in print your just not going to get it. sucks i know but you just have to remember which side of the pond you live on :S

my card is a his and only time it would be noticebly hearable is when pc boots up theres a quick woosh then back to very quiet even when gaming its good(noise wise)

best to use the MSI bios as it's the only one out that uses powerplay, or you could use RBE and do it yourself.

160core/500mem or so @ idle and ~0.9v ...will drop idle temps a lot.

No 'extras' with my card.
The fan appears to be fine...cannot hear it above the case fans...though when my cpu fan kicks in I cannot hear a darn thing! :D
