Students: Weekly food spend

Hey,

Thought it might be a good idea to move out for my last year. I've been working out how much it's going to cost and maybe it wasn't the best idea.

How much do you guys spend on food and general household items like toilet paper, each week?

At a guess, anywhere between £25 and £35, depending on how much stuff I've got left in the cupboards

Usually about £20 in the supermarket (get a basket, when its full, leave) + £10 buying lunch and stuff out.

I was a strange studant and allways had my cuboard and even wardobe full of food (i liked choice and allways bought stuff when i twas on offer, eg noodles soups etc)
I think i was about £30+a week plus a tenner
but i could have spent less than that

Worked out about £30 weekly shop, depending on how much money is spent on other things, normally about £40 for 'luxury' shop!

He's probably suprised how you manage to spend £50 a week on food, and whether it's completely necessary.
