Which PCIE power plug to use as 2nd plug for 4870?

I have a 4870 and a full new set of stuff e8400/dfi x48/4gb ram ect ect, anyhow one thing im puzzled about. I have a couple of spare PCIE power leads one that came with my psu (Hiper typeR 560W) and one that was just sat in my bits box. The one that came with the Hyper is neater and will be easier to keep out of the way of fans/air flow ect than the generic one and I would prefer to use it. I know I need 2 power plugs one is already in the case powering the x1950xtx just wondering which other I should use when I build the new rig.

The problem is on the generic one all the 6 pins in the plug have copper connectors and a wire but on the Hyper one it has a pin with no wire or connector.

Do I use the generic untidy one (yeh I know fussy and all that) that has all the pins connected or can I use the Hyper one (dose it not matter that all the pins are wired up and connected?. The pictue above shows which pin on the plug im talking about. Don't want to damage my new card by using wrong plug.

Also anyone know if the TypeR will power Xfire two 4870's or is it as I am thinking a little short on juice?.

Can't wait to get this thing built though Im going from a 3700sd@2750 with a x1950xtx and 2gb of ddr 500 to this E8400 with 4gb1066ddr2 and a 4870 wonder how my games are going to look, FPS player, how much improvment am I going to see?.

Just look at the GFX Card...Most of those connections are commoned up (joined togeather), with or without that pin will make no difference

Did you get the 4870 to work on your Hiper PSU?

I have a 580w Hiper PSU (non-modular version) and I'm wondering if it will be enough to power a 4870.

I have not had enough time to finish my build I will post again as soon as I know. should work ok though.

When I used the PCI-E connecter that came with my X1950, it didn't give the card enough power and wouldn't boot. However, it then worked fine with the normal PCI-E connecter actually on the power supply.
