Just found out that he past away sometime at the beginning of 2008 in a car accident. :(:(

Been told by another friend who ive not spoken to for the best part of a year.

I dont know what happened, but i think one of his parents died too in the accident. :(

We knew eachother from primary school days, and over the last few years would spend many hours playing cricket and other sports whilst we were in 6th form, laughing about how awful it was. You know how it is, playing in all weather, being late and not being bothered and just enjoying life. :)

Can't believe how much something like this shakes you up. I was ready to go to bed but now i just dont think i can. My arms are just shaking as im typing this as i just cant believe something like this has happened so close to home.

Reast In Peace Aleem.

RIP to your friend.

It's really horrible when things like this happen to somebody you know.

Facebook's a weird one especially when friends from primary school add you. I found out last year that 3 of my old school mates have passed away.

A guy I used to play Counter-Strike with died on Christmas Eve.

He'd not long passed his bike test, and sadly died in a crash. Although I didn't know him personally, he was a top bloke, used to talk to him a lot. Never really had anyone I know die before, was quite a shock. :(

RIP for your friend fella.

I had something similar, someone from my primary school who I went to Reception with was killed in a car accident last year, I wasn't really friends with them, but I had known them my whole life nonetheless, hits you hard. :(

Live everyday to the fullest and don't waste a second! :)

A guy i knew in school died last year only found out from a facebook group set up in his memory. A few people who I werent really friends with have been killed in car accidents, I've strangely always thougt thats how id go, no idea why..

A similar situation to me last year.

A girl i had known since year 1 died of cancer aged 18, and like you, i wasnt really her friend as such, but when i found out i got this massive feeling of sickness like i have now, and it loomed over me for days. Its such a horrible feeling when you find out and your heart just sinks...

With Aleem, he was one of those people who you appreciated spending time with, as we didnt see eachother all the time, but just enough to have a good laugh with. What i feel most sorry about is that with the death of everyone in my lifetime, ive always just assumed that they'll be around as long as i will, and so i never show people how i feel enough. :(

Thank you all for your words. Tomorrow i may have to tell some of my other friends that are at uni. :(

Sorry for your loss dude.

I found out two days ago that a friend of mine had killed himself. I was genuinely stunned, didn't see it coming at all - every time we met, he'd talk about coming to see me in Edinburgh, going travelling, seeing the world etc. I knew he was a bit unhappy with his life, butI kind of thought that these plans and ambtions were keeping him going. Apparently not :(

I'm really sorry to hear that :(.

I went something similar in 2004, a school friend of mine that I'd lost touch with died in a car crash with her boyfriend. I felt kind of awkward going to her funeral because we hadn't spoken in 2 years, but we were really good friends as kids so I know it was the right thing to do. It's really weird when someone your own age dies, it definately changed my perspective on life.

bad news, but in a way be thankful you didn't go to my secondary school, since 2000, I've found out that 2 people have died from a heroin overdose, two have been shot dead, one stabbed, and at last counting, 13 in prison serving at least 5 yrs or more, I thank cthulu (read: dawkins) that I escaped that kind of life

** sorry I didn't mean to come across as a topper (if you know what I mean) I am truly sorry for the loss, but car accidents happen all the time, not that excuses the loss of life, any idea if it involved a drunk driver? or just bad luck?

on a WoW forum a high active user passed away, his brother posted up this long heartfelt post saying how much he loved WoW thanking them all etc, the first reply was "did he drop any good loot?"

Very harsh, but funny from the screenshot!

Ah, I get it now. Thought it was someone with a sick mind trying to be funny :p

I've known of two people who have both taken there lives, who i knew quite well from school. one more shocking than the other.

never nice to hear about.

For anybody wondering one was a girl the same age as me, or would have been. She was found hanging from a tree in a wood close by, the second a guy a few years older than me found also hanging from a tree in wood.

Non related suicides.
