Ordered 2 waterblocks from aqua computers 69 euros each plus fittings etc and more water cooling fluid hose etc added cost to £150,cant wait till delivery, other companys like ek are starting delivery around 14-17 july, aqua state 10th. Hopefully ill have my climate control chiller up and running soon so no need to buy another rad etc

Full blocks I hope for that price?

Perosnally, two gpu blocks with heatsinks for £50 would have been my choice. Maybe with a fan blowing on them (some cases have a fan there already in the side of the case)

Horses for courses though. Look forward to the results.

Surprised you rushed to buy since no overclocking software is due out for the 4870 until the end of July so apart from quietness, nothing to be gained yet for going water so quickly.

Woot! Didn't know the Aqua blocks were out to buy :-)

EK are launching thiers on Monday.

Hmm, now to find a UK distributor.

I thought the new AMD GPU tool supported the 4800 series?

It does but not made by AMD and people are reporting unreliable results and instability with it at settings which were stable using CCC.

SO we are all waiting until Rivatuner is out at the end of July (latest by the writer)

AMD GPU Clock Tool works a treat on the 48x0 series. ;)

no problems with my 4850 crossfire and the tool above

i like silence too, when i set gpu fan speed to 25% motherboard temp shoots up , the 4870's are warming my pc up to much. 35% gpu fan speed keeps motherboard and gpu's cool but noise is irritating.Im also impatiant and want things yesterday :D. You can order direct from aqua computers too(like i did).
Using these waterblocks doesnt take up the spare pci slots etc on mobo either as they so thin.

Well my 4870 didn't arrive today. Not enough stock came in for back orders apparantly :(

So they have swapped it to the higher price Sapphire for free but I won't get that till Friday.

My GTS has to come out tonight, I have made the smuck wait long enough since he paid on Monday night for it.:(

So no computer till Friday. On the plus side, my gpu water block and heatsinks are ready to rock and roll.

I know exactly how you feel. When I was a kid, my parents bought me a Big Trak. Sadly, it was DoA and being Xmas, it couldn't be returned for a replacement for a few days, so I was left with just the batteries, but nothing to put them in. Very sad.

Can just see you playing with batteries all day :p

Are these the Aquagratix blocks? If so they may be full cover but they look extremely thin and restrictive. Surely two of those in a loop is going to kill waterflow.

All of AC's cooling is based around lo-flow loops and 8mm OD hosing, so their blocks are designed with this in mind.
