Hi guys,

I have a shuttle box downstairs beside a HDMI fitted 32" HDTV. I also have a GeForce4 Ti4200 with dual DVI slots.

I also have a DVI-> HDMI converted so I can connect the PC to the TV via HDMI.

What I would like to do is output the PC to the TV at 1080p resolution for use as a media box.

How do I do this? Do I have the right kit?

yep. graphics card > dvi/hdmi convertor > hdmi lead > tv.

it should auto detect everything and you shouldnt have a problem running 1920x1080 on the desktop:)

I am having a similar issue, my TV is 720p but i have outputted my 4850 useing DVI > HDMI to my TV at 1920x1680 and my panny is saying its 1080p input rather baffled tbh

edit - its native res is aparently 1024x786

you mean 1920x1080 which is 1080p mate. your tv may well be able to accept 1080p over hdmi, that doesnt mean the tv's native resolution is 1080p. if it isnt 1080p, it will scale it down to the correct resolution.

whats happening? is the display detected by the card? maybe it doesnt accept 1080p, it wouldnt be unusual for a screen of that size. have you tried 720p instead?
