PS3 Guitar Hero 3 Question

I have a 60GB UK PS3

Would Guitar Hero I & II work on my PS3?

Or is the wireless guitar incompetable with the previous titles?

Guitar doesn't work. Even the old ones don't I think. So you would need to buy a PS2.

I thought you could use the les paul with GH1 and 2 but the old controllers didn't work? (although i think theres an adaptor, i remember seeing one on IGN gear)

I'm pretty sure it can't use the wireless dongle when in PS2 mode which is why the new controller doesn't work with the old games. And the old PS2 controller doesn't work with one of the ps2-to-usb adapters because they have no PS button to activate them - unless someone has released an adapter with the button built in.
