Just got an Xbox 360...

It's not a necessity. A lot of people still use cabled.
Air is a necessity. Wireless is option.

Yes, it should have come with Wireless, but it was also £215 cheaper for an Xbox360 on launch day than it was for a Playstation 3 and it also came out 16 months earlier. It's all about costs.

Whilst I think Wireless should be on consoles as standard, I certainly don't think it's a necessity.

A lot of people have their consoles in the same room as their routers, and it's not exactly going to get up and move.

In consoles, if wireless is an option I'll always choose it over wired - however if it isn't, I'll just whack a length of cable into it.

LOL - You make it seems as though the only reason the PS3 was released behind the 360 was because they couldn't get Wireless working :p

Quite a few people I know, myself included already had a wireless bridge because of the original xbox. At the time of release I was a little disappointed that wireless wasn't included but it wasn't a big thing.

I'd add Lost Odyssey to that list, and perhaps Viva Pinata :p

+1
My router is next my 360 so it's cabled, my PC is upstairs at the other end of the house & wireless reception is carp so thats cabled too :p
Only thing I use wireless for is either my laptop or mobile phone (which is rare, but I'd consider wireless a necessity on those devices, not on a console or desktop PC).
Oh and last week I saw MS Wireless Adaptor for £32.99 ;)

Anyway I digress, back on topic;
Bioshock
Devil May Cry 4
Ninga Gaiden 2
Call of Duty 4
Gears of War
Saints Row (not played much but more fun than GTAIV)
(I've got Assasins Creed, Crackdown, Mass Effect, Stranglehold & Condemned 2 on recommendations/reviews/demos which are all meant to be good games but not had chance to play them)

Just went and bought a Xbox 360 Elite.

I bought GTA 4 with it for £35 and I wish I had picked up Halo 3 now as tbh it's rubbish, but I should have known that. :( Gotta buy the wireless adapter too before I can go online with it!

What games should be on my list to get ASAP? I was thinking of:

1) COD4
2) Halo 3

Not sure what else is going to be any good :p

Out of interest. How long did you play GTA IV for before deciding it was rubbish, honestly?

About two hours. Maybe its not 'rubbish' but I think I was expecting a bit more after everyone going on about it, all of my mates say its the best game out and I do remember enjoying the previous GTA games. This one just seems.. nothing very special at all. :(

It was hyped up too much. It certainly didn't provide the 'fun' factor that other games in the series have. Technically though the game is fantastic. In terms of features and gameplay, it is somewhat lacking, but if you look back to GTA 3, so was that really. We just loved it because it was new (first 3d GTA). This is the foundation of the next 2-3 GTA games, and I for one cannot wait for what they come up with next (I am thinking the fun of GTA VC/SA in the GTA 4 game engine)

I would say give it more than 2 hours to get into it though :)
