As for being racist against your own race, check out Chris Rock in his skit "Blacks vs *******". You can be racist to your own race, as to whether the police here should have just ignored it, perhaps but then again if someone is going to be an idiot to the cops they've got to expect that retribution may follow.

A comment is made, someone perceives it to be racist and a complaint is made then the police have to investigate ..... simple as.

I think the problem is that the court has lost its willingness to dismiss daft charges.
