Devil May Cry 4 - Worth getting?

Haven't played any of the previous ones, definitely worth a buy imo this game. No other game is so nice to lean back on and slash away abusing your joypad :p.
 
Got it. Awesome but a litle strange config wise as you have to set the refresh rate to be 59 in order to get higher than 1600x1200 otherwise you get lower res options in the game menu.

Guess Capcom were playing it safe. Strange oversight though as Games For Windows are supposed to support all resolutions. This is on ATI BTW so perhaps the Nvidia sponsorship of this game is designed to do this to ATI owners!

No problem here with setting the res to 2560x1600 in game on ATI.

Not my normal type of game but gave it a shot and its very good. Using an old ps1 controller via a usb adapter which is a lot easier than the keyboard.

Seems to run really well considering the quality of graphics. I banged everything up to the max expecting it to be a bit dodgey on the opty and 8800GTS at 1900x1200 but it runs very well indeed.

Even the wife was impressed and she hates watching any games usually :)
 
I played DMC3 on the PS2 and I thought it felt very lightweight and disconnected, didn't have the weight and solidity I expect from hack'n'slash games or fighting games.
