Argos going on strike

Haven't read the news story but iirc it's only the warehouse workers, not store workers unless my gf had a day off yesterday without telling me lol!

Oh noes, if only there was some kind of vast interconnection of commerce and customer where I could browse electronic catalogues of goods, allowing me to buy anything I could ever want for without ever leaving my house! only such a futuristic dream can save us now :(

"Many distribution workers earn as little as £17,000-a-year for doing back-breaking, essential work for this company."

So... just like people all over the country then

What are they worried about? As far as I heard the other week it only takes a salary of £13,000 to live a comfortable life with essentials such as multichannel TV and a car!

Lets hope this isn't the start of something bigger. Lots of strikes and high wage rises could cause big inflationary problems. Why the governmetn can't just get it in to there thick skulls that they must do somthing about the increasing cost of living.

I worked at Argos as a store person, but when you are given roles of moving stock about the stock rooms and stuff, it can be very tiring and back-breaking.

I'd support them for striking, its about times these big companies started helping out their employees, during these times of high fuel costs, ect... as the employees are what make the company the fortunes it has.
