How do you really feel about Chavs?

Personally ive not had a great deal of bother from them. They walk about dressed in their own way, and listen to their rave tunes from mobile phones etc.

I find that they arent any bother if you are clever enough to avoid any confrontations.

Ive always kinda liked rave tunes, decent MCs and all that lol. I dont agree with certain gimps doing happy slapping and general griefing.. but at the same time i do sympathise with the fact that young people dont have much to do.

At the end of the day a lot of people dont like sitting on the PC on a night like we do. I partly envy the fact that they get to go out, get sloshed at a 15yr old, and hump young lasses with big earrings lol.

I imagine its going to be 99% hatred. But there must be some people here who couldnt really give two hoots about what chavs get up to.

Pretty sure I know what direction this thread is taking!

I had some trouble with a group of lads at Christmas, one who thouoght is was 'ard and wanted to take me on, he lost and his mates thought twice about having a go.

They must bother you if you try to avoid them. :confused:


Personally the ones around here don't seem to bother me, but they do have a go at other people...
 
I dont really care what other people do with their life, but when they effect me its not on.

IE - Hanging about the shops shouting abuse at you, then waiting untill your half way down the path to throw stones at you. I've had them starting fights on me because i refused to buy them fags/drink.
 
there entertaining to watch e.g. trying to get free bus ride while hanging on the back of bus with rollerblades but general attitude is there all annoying little and if i carried on id get banned

Why is the latest craze to have music just playing on loud speaker out of your phone??
 
The majority are okay, it's just the odd few that ruin it for the rest of them. It's just like all "groups" though. I've got a bunch of friends most people would consider to be chavs and they're the nicest bunch of people :)

No, i just know that a group of dodgy looking characters are going to snigger/**** me off if i walk through them.

Im happy to cross the road, i woulda done the same if it was 30 years ago and it was punks or skinheads.

Chavs dont really bother me. Infact i used to be big into my clubbing and raving about the place, and ive had some mint times dancing about with Chavs. They arent all total ********.

I understand certain ones act agressive and intimidating, but much in the way that goths, emos etc have their styles and hangouts.. chavs are the same
 
I often confront them,
but personally i get on with some of the older ones as we respect each other, but it is the little s**** that get on my nerves cocky as anything, they think the world owes it to them and personally string them up by their nackers.
Would be nice though if they showed some respect, but what can you do.

I think it is one of the worst things to come out of mobile phones in recent times, is equally as bad up north as here down south, just the type of music is different.

Have been started on by a number of chavs for no reason, so am not really a fan of them.

Yeah mate i agree with that. I know people who may dress like chavs, may buy knockoff gear or dabble with drugs etc, but they are actually pretty nice people. Maybe its because i know them.. i dunno.

One thing i will say from observation though... a lot of chavs actually seem to have a lot of respect for their parents. I know that seems like im talking crap. But ive seen chavs being particularly helpful to their mothers. Probably more helpful than i am to mine lol
 
If you are known in the area you don’t get any trouble, now it’s the little gits that are annoying, taking a bus ride with a nob on the back blasting his music through his tinny phone speakers that does my head in, I’m sure it’s just a noise comes out of it you can even hear any words.
 
In an ideal world we could all live and dress how we like, but people getting grief for being different is nothing new.

even as kids me and my friends werent chavs, but if some guy went past with long greasy hair, a leather jacket, and jeans that only reached his shins, we would take the mick out of him.

I think a lot of people dress like gimps and are confused when they get ripped by young "chavs" lol

Ah, i understand.
Tbh there are just the few idiots that give chavs a bad reputation. I know a few "chavs" but they are genuinely nice people.
