Which lottery should i take up?

I am feeling lucky and i have decided to dedicate a few pound a week until whenever on a lottery.

Few questions...

  • Which has the highest number of entries?
  • What is the most i could win?
  • How many numbers do i need?
  • What are my options besides Lotto and Thunderball?
 
Wow far too much thought going into playing the lottery!

Save some thought, and just put a pound on a lucky dip once a week.
 
Stick 2 quid in a sealed box every week for a year, then at the end of the year buy yourself something nice for the car, PC, watch, clothing, accessory etc? The lottery aint worth it.

Yes that is a boring way to look at it, but do the maths.
 
If you are feeling that lucky, the Euromillions has a very high entry rate, but if you win, you win big :p

Bought my first lottery ticket a few weeks ago with the numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 (hears the LOST fans groan...)

Didn't win anything though :p

I do this already but with all my spare change..in under half a year i have £62 and that'll be used to fund my spending at Reading Festival. :o
 
Standard Lotto is 1 in 14 million & Euromillions is 1 in 76 million if that affects which one you would go for at all.
 
Your really must really be full of dilemmas if you have to decide what lottery to take up. Is it me or have many of your recent threads (OK I'm not going to back this up and I'm probably wrong :p) involve many purchases? Have you just come into contact with large lump sums of money (student loan? :p).
 
Basically don't play. You're more likely to die on the way to the shop to buy your ticket than to win a meaningful amount of money.

I've scrapped out my overdraft and i'm working everyday to try and boost myself up a bit. :)
On my to buy list...

Barcelona holiday
Asus EEE
Custom computer
Mackie 350 or 450

In the above order. :o
