DFI DK X38-T2R - OVERCLOCKING

Can some one help my overclock my E6750 on my motherboard please.

i know how to increase the clock speed but i dont know how to increase the voltage - there are so many settings and none are called Vcore :S

Isn't that the compensation for any observed Vdroop?

I think the CPU VCore adjustment is elsewhere, but I can't recall where - somewhere near the bottom of that screen, I think.

Google on "Clunk DFI X48" - the guy who runs that board is one of the greatest living experts on the DFI X38/X48 and he will help you out. I can't post a direct link because he hosts advertising for OcUK competitors.

Clunk is the guy you want though.

nope thats definately it, its the same on my p35 t2rs as well

ah right - also how do i stop my cpu from switching between x6 multiplyer and x8 because it keeps switching!!

go to cpu feature and disable the first 4 options, and then manually adjust your multiplier (cpu clock ratio)

Hey i really need help that one optinion is missing the "CPU VID CONTROL" its not there - nor is the GTL+ buffer Strength, Host Slwe Rate and the GTL REF voltage controolm too :S

Maybe it's not there on the DK board? In which case all you have is the Vdoop adjuster.

the LT version of this board has cpu vid controll but the DK version hasnt for some reason? the LT version is a bit more expensive as well.

CPU VID control on DFI boards are if you will "direct vcore changes" where as the CPU add does as it says.

It adds the percentage of the CPU Vid to the total vcore but there is one difference. CPU Special add being a percentage means you can overclock and keep such things as speed step etc running.

When the system lowers voltage, your percentage is still applied and your clock is higher than what it would usually be if the multiplier was dropped.

Your board being a DK (cut down cheaper model) version will probably have was less complex vcore circuitry, hence why you have technically less options. However, as said above - it's in some ways better than setting vcore directly.

Man.... it looks like you need to be a rocket scientist to set up a DFI motherboard :S Too many options and settings!

Thank god I got an Asus P5e to replace my DQ6!

DFI's have never been the most easy of overclocking motherboads for the guy new to it nor have there ever been for such people there are far better boards which overclock just as good ,
