Im looking into buying a new dual monitor setup. Wanting to get 2 19" windscreens both with DVI inputs!

Any suggestions?

I was looking at the LG L197WH 19" monitor, looks a very nice monitor, anyh thoughts on this one?

Dont want to spend too much, as i know of a place i can get the LG at a reduced price. Preferably no more than £130 per monitor.

Most 19" widescreen TFTs have 1440x900 pixels and IMHO the 900 isn't enough so I suggest at least two 20" with 1680x1050 (the extra 105 pixels makes a big difference) or even a single 24" with 1920x1200.

It really depends on how much vertical desktop space you will be happy with though so perhaps for you the 900 pixels is enough?

The LG L197WH should be fine for a dual monitor setup but remember it's a TN panel so viewing angles won't be perfect although it's spec has the angles at 170° so it shouldn't be much of a problem, if at all.

could get messy and expensive how long would duelling monitors last before they killed each other?

Not sure how they'd kill each other?

I'm running twin Hannspree 19s and they work just fine in extended desktop mode at 1440x900, however I have found (as str said) that the extra pixels on the 20" make a huge difference.

Didnt have the mulaa to buy two at once, just bought a second a month later. Just make sure they match up because i got the american version for a second monitor and the logos are off. (yes, yes i am ocd) :P

If i bought 20's this time around, i'd go Samsung.. their pebble monitors look awesome.
