Grrrrrrr! not only did my flight to canada leave 1:30 late because of rain, but either my bag is still in London, or bangladesh, or has been taken by some random plonker!

standing here in this massive queue to speak to the single BA rep. all i need to do is hand in this bleedin' form!

Aaaarrgh! please wish me luck!

still in the baggage hall! i've now missed my ferry to get to the Island, so they're going to have to put me up in a hotel tonight.

BA decided to leave my bag in London...

i'm in the Richmond Hotel, it's actually rather nice, although this whole thing has been a collossal inconvenience. i'll probably only get my clothes back in a week!

<edit> oh yeah, i'm at GMT-9 and haven't slept for about 50 hours :(
<edit2>Also, the internet here at the hotel is painstakingly slow (3.3KB/s)

Sounds like a whole heap of fun! Make sure you get as much use out of the hotel as possible (facilities, freebies, etc) :)
 
My luggage disappeared for a while once (got it back after 5 days). Ever since I used to pack my hand luggage with those items that would get me through a minimum of 2 days should my luggage ever go missing again...

I flew to Shanghai this January, after my flight got canceled i was transferred to a Virgin Atlantic flight. Case went missing for 8 days! Phoned the lost baggage help desk everyday from China only to be told, your case isn't appearing on our system, check again tomorrow.

I eventually got the case and when I arrived home started the compensation quest. Only got the money I had spent on clothes while I was there, no extra as they didn't deem it a worthy cause.

Needless to say I will NEVER travel with British Airways again!!
 
Good morning all, from Canada.

i've had abitta sleep (;)) so i'm feeling less vengefull.
i'm going to leave the hotel v.soon and take the bus back to the airport, where i'll take another bus to the ferry, ferry to the island and then another bus from there to the city...

but in the meanwhile, i'm going to go buy some clothes. BA gave me a $70CAD credit card to spend on whatever i want. which is clean clothes right now...

i posted this first while waiting in the queue (which took an hour) in the baggage hall in the airport. typing with one hand whilst holding the lappy in the other.
 
I'd spend the whole $70 on underwear and some equivelant of Febreeze lol.

Any ideas how long till you get your clothes? How long are you in Canada for + are they going to mail it to you wherever you're staying in Canada?
 
Im going to canada in 52 days, this is not what I wanted to see lol :D

hopefully yourgoing to post shortly about how they got your case back in 2 days max ;)
 
Ba are great last time they messed up with me, they over booked the flight on the way back, so they gave me £400 and put me up in a 5* hotel free food taxis etc.

oh yes also got full VIP treatment the next day as well, IE no queuing pulled straight to the front for checking in, best seats on the plane back, and no queuing to get on the plane as well, just pulled aside and escorted to the front .

I'm surprised more bags don't get misrouted to be honest, it's a relatively haphazard system.
