Devil May Cry 4 - Worth getting?

I bought it yesterday on a whim, so that I didnt get too bored constantly practicing COD 4 for the AEF Lan.

Had never played or followed the series before, but it looked and sounded quite good from reviews.

I would definetely recommend it to anyone who is thinking about getting the game, graphics look really really good on full settings and plays really really well if you want a fast moving slash-fest.

The only problem I have with the game is that some areas are really really repetitive, which can be annoying if you constantly fail to make a certain jump and have to keep going through the same cut-scene/mini-fight to get back to the area concerned.

It's just nice to play and game where you just run around slicing and dicing your way through things without having to think too much about it.

Liking this game so far, the story is pretty cool but I don't understand it, haven't got a clue what's going on guess I should probably play the other dmc's.

I love how every scene that woman is in, every single shot the camera angle is blatently tailored purely to show off her ****/ass, it's not even remotely suttle it's just completely blatent. Made me lol. Even in just a normal dialogue scene the camera is just completely zooming in on her breasts rofl.

Yeah like I said earlier in this thread the physics coding for those things are amazing;)

Also that Creto guy, I just can't take his character seriously because every time he speaks I think "Frank from Dead Rising, Frank from Dead Rising". Sounds just like Frank from Dead Rising, probably is the same guy doing the voice acting.

Anyone else getting green flashing on certain textures during the cut scenes? Fine in game just on the cut sceens I'm seeing some corruption.

Using a 4870, XP

Nope works perfect for me on Vista with a 4850 + 4870 (have the game installed on 2 different PC's with different gfx cards in). 4850 can also run DMC4 @ 1920x1200 with 4AA and max details and little to no slowdown.

Defo worth buying for a quick laugh and some brilliantly animated eye candy. Make sure you pick up a controller though, if you dont have one already. It would be impossible to play with a keyboard.

Completed it in about 7 - 8 hours in Devil Hunter mode. Was fairly easy, with some frustrating bits but overall very enjoyable.

I have only played the demo and loved it even though this is not normally my sort of game. It looks and runs great and a 360 controler is a must. The only reason I have not bought it yet is that I am about to go away holiday but I will pick it up when I get back.
