This one's rather funny too, arab drifts his bmw 7 series in front of the cops,, then drifts around their car and drives away :D.

Insane! Are the cars modified or just standard heaps that they have no worries about throwing round?

I'm gutted I didn't see this while I was in Dubai! :p

Lots of Arabs have far too much time to play with and spare cash so you see things like this going on, my fav one was two new Landcrusiers having a head on crash in the desert at about 40mph to see what would happen.

Seen this first hand and no they have limited fear of death.

I did, outside the front of my hotel!

Crown Plaza which is on Sheikh Zayed Road, got some pics at home but this wasn't far off the view i had out of my hotel window :

Also spotted something going on when heading towards the Burj one evening.

You get around much Adam, what did you think about it?

I was there on a photography conference so I didn't get to see as much of it as I would have liked, but I have a friend out there who is in to real estate and has just bought himself a place to stay when he's there on business. Hopefully I'll be able to get back out there at the end of the year to see him and get to look around more.

I was in based in Jumeirah and saw the Burj (could see it from the bar we sat at every night) as well as the DIFC and Zabeel Park when we went there for photoshoots. I managed to get to a little flea market type place to pick up a 'real' fake purse for my mother, but that's about it.

Next time I go I'd like to get out in to the desert in a jeep and also take a look around the more affluent areas in central Dubai. I have to say although the building work would drive me crazy all of the time, it's definately forging the 'future' of big cities to come. The architecture, the aspirations of the Sheikh to make it a safe, clean, great city are all very appealing to me. If I was a photographer living over there I'd certainly be pushing my business because although the city and most of the business' there are still in their infancies, there is so much wealth around that funding isn't an issue.

I look forward to going back in 15 or 20 years time to see how it looks when it's finished...if it ever is!

Insane vids, didn't realise till watching almost half of the OP posted link that they were doing it with other normal users on the road
