Too Human Demo on Live..

I quite like it, reminds me of mass effect for some reason but with a better pace, like mass effect meets phantasy star online.

Feels very much like a Silicon Knights (well... obviously) game with heavy emphasis on story. Have to leave now so hope that helps a bit.

Edit: Actually an epic, solo phantasy star online with a deep plot is a very apt description.

Sounds like my sort of thing. PSO was the first mmo i ever got in to and loved it to death. Not to mention Eternal Darkness being one of my favorite games of all time. I really hope this game does turn out to be a great title as it will prove SK can stand on their own two feet without the big N. Unlike Rare.

Anyway got to head off to work now (26%). Really hope i do not have to work overtime tonight!

You definitely feel the Eternal Darkness connections.

I can only comment on the 40 minutes I got to play on it but it's very rare for me to enjoy a single player game (Zelda and Pikmin being the only series I've completed every iteration of) but from what little I played I enjoyed it. The main character has a mix of all 3 PSO classes with some "spells", ranged and melee weapons.

I like the range weapons variety. You start off with a pair of uzis that can auto aim at 2 different enemies and I found a rifle the holds a laser beam on the enemy for damage whilst healing you slightly with a grenade launcher secondary fire. Got a funny giant purple hammer too :p

The enemies also range from big badasses where you have to target limbs to stop his attacks to large swarms (I counted 20 or so) of player sized characters hurling themselves at you, often with annoying artillery or sword styled stronger units interspersed amongst the group.

Didn't really do much for me, but it's not really my type of game anyway so my opinion should count for very little.

Don't agree with some of the hate it's been getting though, there are a lot out there who quite clearly couldn't wait to **** all over this, very sad.

The camera isn't great though, so that would be one valid criticism in my book. Like I said though, people are bashing this because it's no DMC, except they're missing the point which is that it's not even trying to be that type of game.

Im kind of hoping its a spiritual successor to Blood Omen. If they can match the sort of atmosphere and story telling contained in that I think i'll rather like it.
