Just exploit all the religious books for what they are, books of fiction.

and my mother's boyfriend is a Muslim, so I like to think I know a bit about the subject.
Indeed. One Christian I know simply takes that Jesus said we should help people and each other, so thats what they spend their time doing. Great guy. This is the part of religion i find fascinating, I know several quite strongly religious (all Christian though) people, and nearly all of them has their own ways of doing it (most just being either catholic or protestant) yet the one person who i would consider the most "Christian" (involved with youth groups will help anyone, and is truly the nicest person i have ever met) doesn't really follow any church he has his own wired view of it, he's tried explaining it to me many times but i always get lost. It's amazing though, that the one who doesn't really believe in all the pomp and cerimoney of the church is the one I would consider the closest to what Jesus would want from a Christian.
I will be watching. However I expect it will be biased rubbish. Would be good if someone who knows these things watches and comments on it.
Yeah my mum's boyfriend is hardly what you'd call a typical Muslim. He does not go to Mosque (though donates some of his money), he drinks alcohol (but he does not eat pork), things like that. But he was raised in a strict Sunni Muslim household, so he is a wealth of information about what that branch of Islam is really about and whatnot

I don't watch it so I have no idea, lol.Like Mo from BB?
He's not really a Muslim though, he just considers himself one by association.Another fine example of "religious" people picking and choosing the bits that suit them.
No, more like Channel four tries to disguise trash TV as intelligent veiwing.
Lets not forget when they put 'ordinary representive people of Britain' (in reality, a man who frequents a strip club, an outrageously camp man, and other assorted horrible chav-esque people) in a house to obey the rules of Islam for a week.
It was embarrising, the guests didn't even try and were incredibly rude, yet Islam was still made to be the culprit.
Biased which way?

I'm not going to get into details, but not everything he says is nice at all.
Nah he's not that bothered at all, mainly considers himself a Muslim by association. So basically he just isn't very devout?
I'm not saying a bad thing, but there doesn't seem to be anything unusual there. He just doesn't sound all that bothered.
You have to admit that there have been plenty of genuinely intelligent documentaries on C4. C4 is the only mainstream broadcaster that has been asking the serious questions of Islam that many of us are asking to ourselves and close friends and family.
Likewise. Not sure yet, I have found most of these programs about religious topics recently have been very biased and rubbish.
Some of you should real the Qu'ran, you'd be surprised.
AH DAMN... I missed "The seven wonders of the muslim world"
WHY coudn't you give us a heads up about that too![]()
