Hello,

My dad had a 200mins sim only contract for 1 year for 13 € a month.
I've just refreshed the contract to a 100 min for 9.50€ a month for 2 years, but he gets a Nokia N95 for free with a voucher to get a 4gb SD card for free too? I reckon this is a good deal and I already made it, but is it or could I have done better? 2 years 100 mins 9.50 € a month and a N95 4gb for free, same telephone number as now... Good or bad deal ?

Nah mostly he didn't, only problem was that he went abroad quite a lot and had to pay 110€ once for calling abroad , but now I also picked some option for lower tariffs abroad.

The reason he wants a new phone is not because he doesn't like his ultra basic nokia 1600, but because he wants bluetooth for his parrot handsfree kit in his recently bought car... I don't know if he will actually like the N95 as he doesn't like phones that slide, he migth end up wanting my k750i instead as he also liked his older erricsson phones.
Time will tell, but afaik the N95 is a great phone.

You reckon he'd like it?
He actually doesn't do anything with his phone but calling, he likes a simple interface like in his nokia 1600, he likes battery life, and he wants it to be bluetooth so it's compatible with the Parrot 3200 LS-COLOR handsfree kit...

Suppose everyone is gonna expect high bills using their phone abroad :(

Yeah the n95 is a good feature packed phone :D

My only concern is that its 'too much' for your dad! As he was used to the ultra basic 1600 as you said!

Its a lot more complicated, as it uses that S60 operating system and not just your basic up and down menu in older more basic nokias

Well it arrived today and eh seems to like it, the contacts and recent calls are easier to spot & use and it works with the parrot handfree kit.
Only one problem, the contact list doesn't transfer to the handsfree kit, does anyone know how to do that ?

I had a play on the Internet with it via WLAN and it's quite easy to use, a great improvement over my k750i... Youtube is nice and smooth...
