Corsair Begins UK/EU RMA Processing

Maybe I'm missing the point here, but if your product that you purchased from a UK supplier went pop, then you take it back to them. Why would you have to ship it to the US?

Most suppliers only do that for 1 year (only because they are bound by law), after which you have to go directly to the manufacturer for any extended warranty.

Why would you have to ship it to the US?
If it went pop the first year you would get a replacement from your supplier (ie OcUK) but after that time you would have had to ship the faulty PSU back to CORSAIR in America, now it's the UK.

Five-year warranty + UK RMA :)

Really?

If it is then this thread has mislead me but I just emailed corsair to check?

I used ANTEC PSU's in the past and have shipped a few of them over to Holland and its pretty expensive, however recently ANTEC have done something differently and have made it possible for us end users to ship the item back to the supplier even after the first year has passed!

Dear Antec,

The PSU from one of your chassis/psu combos has failed and I would like to RMA it. I enclose a filled in RMA Request Form and an email of the purchase order.

I would like to know is there a UK address that I can ship too please as it costs quite a lot to keep shipping units over to The Netherlands.

Many thanks

Hello, in this cass no need we issue rma no. to you, but you can via your dealer to contact Enta directly in UK.

below is the procedure, tks.

-Request your dealer to register in Enta’s website www entaonline.com, to get a ENTA account code.

-You pls send e-mail to Enta customer.service @entagroup.com request RMA form together with ENTA account code & Antec Ref. No. ABCDEFG.

-You fill in the RMA form with your fully info + Antec PSU + the Serial No. of PSUand re-mail to Enta.

-Enta provide you with RMA number + Address

-Please send faulty PSU to Enta RMA Address

-Enta send you the replacement PSU

Best regards

I did this a month ago via OcUK, it was a three year old PSU and I only had to ship it back to OcUK, took a while to turn around though but I was in no rush, think it cost me about £6.00.

I'm not sure what this ENTA thing is and if it applies to just ANTEC PSU's?

I hope Corsair accept UK returns. . . .

I will tell you on tuesday as that's when I should receive my rma info I'm betting 50-1 on that it's a netherlands shipping address though.

Title got me a little excited but then confused, EU or UK.

US or Netherlands...ummm...it wont make much difference unless its actually in the UK.:(

Royal Mail Price Finder

2+Kg Package to Netherland: Parcelforce Worldwide International Standard (3-5 Days)
£26.99

2+Kg Package to USA: Parcelforce Worldwide International Economy (28 days)
£35.19

Not sure If I am finding the best deal through the above link but once you try and get a package that weighs over 2KG sent abroad the price rocket! Seems to be an RMA centre in the Netherlands is an improvement though.

If anyone knows a better deal please post info up here thanks! :)

Ok, it is better than the US but still not good enough for me to specifically buy Corsair. (:p coming from someone who has Corsair RAM and PSU)

Please also mark the RMA number clearly on your package, and ship your RMA to the following address:

Attn: RMA Department
Corsair Memory BV
Attn: Returns Department
Tunerstraat 3, 1322CB
Almere, The Netherlands

cheeky gits cheapest I can find is around £25 grrrr I'll send it off but i'll never buy a corsair power supply ever again unless they change their policy and get a uk shipping address it's just too expensive to send a parcel in europe from the uk.I'll stick to brands that have a uk depot like antec.

lol you can buy a plane ticket from leeds > amsterdamn for £14.99 almost as cheap to take it to them personally

And you can take the train from Schiphol to Almere for less than €13, seriously.

I travel from Schiphol to Leeuwarden up in Friesland quite regularly, it's a dead easy rail route and much further than this one.

Almere is really very close to Amsterdam and thus Schiphol, you could probably drop the psu on Corsair's reception desk and be back at Schiphol within 2 hours of landing, at a guess. It takes exactly 42 minutes to get from Schiphol to Almere by Stoptrein, provided you take the direct connection it seems.

...so you can joke about it, but in actual fact, you probably could take it there yourself for about the same price, if you can really get a flight that cheap (which tbh I doubt you could at any time you might 'want' to fly). So if your time isn't worth more than this costs, you could use a Corsair RMA 'trip' as a good excuse to get out of the UK for a day :p

i only had a quick look on google to see how cheap it would be and on the only site i looked at the 14.99 flight was only if you booked the ticket around 14 days in advance, it was 40-30 quid if you wanted to fly out within 7 days

Well, my corsair PSU just stopped working. This really isnt very promising. Im gonna contact the retailor first though since its within a year. Just wondering, does the retailor have to collect the item?
