Tell me about the Corolla AE86

Save your money and buy a nissan sunny? Look no different in my opinion.

What a terrible choice after some of the nice cars you have had in the past.

Just remember the 4age is stupidly expansive to tune.

The best upgrade and easyest from the 16v is is the 20v black top or silver top.

But you could probably get a 3gste or 1uz in one if you tryed which would be mkuch better:)

Plenty of diesels would go faster than that old heap ;)

Why always Jap out of interest? Do yank muscle cars also interest you because theres plenty of retro models about capable of some nice power gains and tweaks while still being basic in design.

I don't care. I hate the noise and power delievery of diesels, I also like an engine that revs.

As I said above, Jap stuff just happens to tick all my boxes. I do like Yank stuff though, but I was always under the impression that decent Yank cars which don't need lots of money spending on them cost a fair amount of wonga?

If I do decide to throw the towel in and sell my 'teg, I'll have a budget of about £4.5k. I do really have a hankering for an AE86, but not if it'll be a money pit.

Like I said, I'm open to suggestions :)

There are even a couple of, dare I say it, Skylines on that Autoadvan site that are in my budget and look nice:

This, This and This. (Last one will be controversial ;) )

check out toymods forum in oz, by far the best place for a realistic point of view on them, they generally junk 90% of the car cause there a bit pants.

See, I was under the impression that whilst they aren't fast by any stretch on the imagination, even as stock they are great fun to drive due to light weight, a fantastically well balanced chassis and a responsive engine.

DreXel all I know is their a pretty good first car on Gran Turismo [Damn did I just say that]

I like the look of them mate, but I don't have enough knowledge of 80's Jap Cars to comment, Theyre pretty big in the drift scene is all I know... :D

Cool as ****, but that's it, and for nearly £5k :eek::eek:

Scene tax overload BSOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I say sell the teg, get another one then turbo it....................... wait........ again ;)
