but from what I have seen of Killzone 2 it looks to be nothing special.
Graphics mean nothing to me so it's a point I never feel is worth considering.
I don't want another Halo game, I want a new IP from Bungie.
I would like games based in the Halo universe, just not one revolved around a Spartan.
Yeah, I was originally planning to buy a PS3 back in December a few days after Christmas in the sales but they had no good bundles tbh, it all 'buy a PS3 with movie-tie in games'. I was going on holiday in the January so couldn't afford to spend loads on the PS3 and then more good games on top of it, and Gamestation had a few Wii's left in stock so I bought one of those, which I shouldn't really, as I was dissapointed with it after the inital 'WOW motion sensor gameplay'.Same, i bought Crysis soley for the graphics, although it was a good game it did not feel great.
Im not really sure on the 60 player online play with R2 but the Single player looks epic, I think that huge beast sold me the PS3 but im gonna wait for a deal to come around. £315 for a console and 1 game seems a bit excessive.
January sales might be worth waiting for also.

I just don't want to see another Halo game, I'm bored with the franchise now and I never really liked it in the first place. It's a bog standard FPS with a bog standard story, yet people think of it as the be-all and end-all in video games. It's ridiculous.
I love people like you who over react about it all the time. Who on here thinks it's the be all and end all of video games? The three people who play it the most on here certainly don't (kalanium, kronologic and myself). Halo 1 and 2 really were something special though. Halo 1 was a superb game and Halo 2 kick started console online play for the masses.
You'd have to be incredibly ignorant indeed to feel that Halo 1/2 offered nothing new.
I know a lot of people that think Halo is the best FPS ever, and when I try to prove them wrong they all say that I'm wrong, which is ridiculous. But I just didn't think the games were as good as people make them out to be.Oooh finally someone who speaks sense!
I dont think I have ever seen anybody in the past 5 years that I've been into Halo claim it as the best FPS ever. All I've seen people say is that Halo 1 had a brilliant SP campaign and Fantastic LAN multi-player, which for a lot of people is true. And as you've already said Halo 2 defined online console gaming as we know it today.
So then retards read the above and interpret it as "HALO BEST FPS EVAR!!!"![]()
any PS3 rpgs mentioned/incoming? (this year would be nice)
edit: Uk/euro releases
I suppose it did, but there were many FPS before Halo that proved FPS could work on a joypad back on the PS1.Halo brought FPS games to consoles and showed everyone that they could work on a joypad.
