Free MMO.. which one do you play?

RF was almost good when it was pay to play. Now it is utter utter trash, not worth playing even though it's free.

I've played a few.. I have a mid level Knight with ultra rare swords in Last Chaos if you want it :p

Played Sword of the New World most recently, and for a free mmo it has really nice graphics, music and animation - the game is very well produced, but it's just pure grind. As was Requiem, Rappelz, Last Chaos, FLYFF, and pretty much every f2p mmo :(

There's some really good ones if you're wanting some new scenery and a bit of leveling fun, but don't expect any decent end game or high level content in any of the completely free mmos!

I have guild wars sitting on the shelf to my right, and I just can't bring myself to install it again to play it. Started it several times and got immensly bored after the first 2 hours :(

No idea why!

Never understood the appeal of a free MMO. I tried a few (including RF Online, for 5 minutes).

Most of their subs are what, £8 a month? for that you get a polished game, support, multiple players to play with.

Cheaper than a few pints in the pub. I'd be more annoyed at investing my time in a crappy game..

Failed to see why people dislike them so much. Yes there are crappy ones (I disliked RF Online too) but their are loads of crappy payed for games. Some games I've bought and played less then a free game.

Personally (and obviously i can only give a personal opinion) i've found sub standard graphics, terrible support, unbalanced gameplay, rude, un professional GMS and resets/server crashes.

Like you highlighted, these problems are no way strictly free games, but i've found paid for ones less of a risk, and you don't get the attitude "Hey, it's free, you get what you're given".

The biggest bonus is probably that playing LOTRO, all the annoying 'Should have been drowned at birth' kids are playing WOW/Free MMOs
