Dawn Of War 2 Intro *OMG AMAZING*

great looking intro, especially LOVED the warp spider exarch teleporting about, that was neat, eldar are always a pleasure, loathed them in the original game they were made out to be total wusses that talk like girls  i think the thing at the end is proberbly a tyranid hivefleet, the farseer could be summoning them for some reason or another, don't forget there hivemind is entirely warp based. personally want to see more from the necrons in this one and less from the crappy orks, never been an ork lover even when i played 40K some years ago and i also agree they need to add sub-armies for each individual team, since people want to play as individual space marine chapters for example: space wolves getting there great hand to hand abilities rather than just generic marines. and to end i always thought they should make dawn of war II more like star wars empire at war, with a load of star systems, a load of planets, have real-time ground/space combat, space combat would use models from battlefleet gothic of course but hell it would be most awesome game ever, period :D

I concur on the Star Wars emulation Gashman :D They really could go to town on this platform. Its such a detailed and interesting universe.

If they are adding RPG elements into the game, I don't see why they couldn't extend that to chapters of space marines, castes of eldar etc... would be cool if when you made a new army in the painter/creator it had points you could spend in specialising in stuff.

They have said they were adding much more functionality to the painter, but that might just mean more ways of applying neon colours to your gay brigade :p

Tis definitely what i would want from DoW3:Total War

doesn't really fit this games small scale though, would want hundreds of marines, thousands of imperial guardsmen and a few titans thrown into the mix as well as close air support, orbital strikes the fleet above, and generally just a much huger scale

I know what I would want. And its similar.

Warhammer40'000 - EPIC. Can you imagine 1000's of tiny marines/orks at your feet, whilst you control an Imperial Imperator class titan, balancing energy levels, rate of fire, etc. I've always envisioned a mmorg, where anyone can (within limits) be whatever character/vehicle they choose. Alternatively just a simple IG trying to avoid getting trod on by the damn things :)

Would be a right old laugh, though I think it would be the cause of my divorce if it ever happened :D

In what possible way does it look like a hive fleet??

Compare this to the eye of terror:
"The Eye stains the night skies of many worlds with a smear the colour of infected blood"

Yes, its more probable that the Eye of Terror, an epically colossal warp rift, not only upped sticks to move into that particular planets orbit but shrunk down to near nothingness in the process...

Every new warhammer game causes me to regress further into my eternally-extended adolescence. Which some people seem to think is a bad thing :D I spent about a week after DOW came out showing people bits of gameplay... "ZOMG IT'S A RHINO!11!!1!"

But I won't be happy til Total WarHammer, or equivalent. It's just obvious, isn't it... Must be done.

There's a Warhammer TC for Rome Total War, I still haven't got around to reinstalling Rome Total War so I can try it out though, still have Medieval 2 installed.

I think there's a Warhammer mod in the works for Medieval 2 and also one for Mount and Blade.

I agree though that Warhammer needs a game like Total War though, Mark of Chaos was very dissapointing, felt half done, needed a open map like Mighty Empires style.

That looks amazing.

Never played the first one, and know very little about Warhammer in general. Worth playing you reckon? From the replies in this thread I imagine it is.

warhammer 40k movie would be a summer blockbuster for sure, great scope for some reall carnige and awesome scifi
