Thats fine then, I just wasnt sure since you posted about it 24 hours after it was shown so I wondered if they had shown something else.

The 80Gb PS3 is coming with a DS3 for 400 euros ( approx £300) soon to the EU, but this aint a BC one though. Its the same 80Gb thats going to replace the 40Gb in the US, looks like a PS2 BC PS is gone forever (well until they get 100% software working)!

I've given up on BC and decided I have more than enough current gen games to keep me happy.

tbh if I had a Ps2 then BC wouldn't be an issue for me at all. I'm not too sure why it's a huge issue for a lot of people.

Its an issue for me since I like to go back to my old games now and again and it looks absolutely crap on my TV on PS2 with composite and I cant use component on my PS2 either since I think my TV is buggered over that particular connection. Atleast over HDMI I get some nice colours.

They look even worse played via a PS3, so you're not missing much... at least you wouldn't be if your TV wasn't broke!

Believe me they don't :p (not on mine anyway...) They look horrible over composite on my PS2 (very dark, dull colours and ghosting issues). My TV is fine its just the component that has problems, but I dont use it so its not a problem :)

Sony (cheesed off *edited*) at MS over Final Fantasy, suggest MS does big pay-offs

Sony's Jack Tretton has been discussing Final Fantasy XIII's move from a PS3 exclusive title to a multiplatform title and suggested that MS has spent most of their money ""trying to curry favor with third parties" which indirectly suggests Square Enix were lured over with a MS subsidized proposition.

Speaking at a roundtable Q&A attended by Gamasutra, Sony's Jack Tretton has been discussing Final Fantasy XIII's move from a PlayStation 3 exclusive to a multiplatform title, suggesting Microsoft has spent most of their money "trying to curry favor with third parties".

When asked whether he was disappointed about the surprise announcement that the game would also debut on Xbox 360 in the West, Tretton noted: "I guess disappointed is clearly an appropriate term."

Tretton then launched into invective discussing Sony's decision to concentrate heavily on internal development, noting that it constituted "over half of our employee base all over the world", and adding that "...we've built up our base and that's where we've chosen to spend our dollars."

However, he warned: "I think Microsoft has spent the majority of their money on trying to curry favor with third parties" - implying that Final Fantasy XIII moving to multiplatform was more of a Microsoft-subsidized decision than one guided purely by sales reasons.
