Gran Turismo 5 not even out before 2010.

i bought a PSP ages ago after seeing GT-PSP video and got fed up of waiting so sold it about 6months ago. glad i did after seeing 2011 :p

Fine, sony sucks, OMG GT5 its delayed!!! what shall I ever do with myself now?!?! I'm selling my PS3 now!

Robert, I know you just edited your previous post to this but.....
It's not just GT5 delay thats the problem, Sony have more delays than they have titles.
I'm not saying "ZOMG SONY FAIL EVRY1 SELL YR PS3", just that you need to remove your Rose Tinted specs every now and then. Even the BBC have been reporting how bad Sony's E3 showing was.
As I say to my mates (when we have our jovial fanboy digs at each other) "Sony delay games, Microsoft deliver games"

Anways, /OT.

If Sony focused on getting games out there to the public, yeah maybe taking one or two delays just to fix bugs etc but still getting them out within a decent timeframe, I'm sure there would be a lot more people who buy PS3's because of the wider range of good games. But as it is, as I said earlier, all's they do is delay games, not once or twice but several times, which really makes you think, are they seriously bothered about getting PS3's sold to more people, getting good titles out there.

The sony name delaystation is its biggest selling point.

I don't get why everybody is bashing Sony?!

Sony aren't making the game, Polyphony Digital are, blame them! But to be fair, with the success of the GT series, i think they've earnt the right to take whatever time they want making it... Sony probably realises this too and probably didn't push them for a closer release date.

It's not really the best situation, but they've already announced additions to Prologue to be released soon, so that should be enough of a drip feed to keep the hardcore fans happy. :)

Somebody mentioned that if they added 500 cars and some tracks it would be GT5... do you people have any idea how long it would take one guy to make one 250k poly car? (not sure if thats the right amount, but its stuck in my head for some reason) I'm sure they have teams of people working on the models, but its not like an overnight job. Aswell as that, i think they announced a damage system for the cars... that just complicates things modelling wise even more so, especially if they want it to look realistic, which im sure they do.

No i have the game and if you go and look over at avforums you will find lots of people have done the same and think the game is very good.

I wasn't criticising the game. Just where you got your review to show it's a good game. The Sun. They can't write papers let alone game reviews.

shame really i loved my ps2 almost got a ps3 but instead i decided to get an xbox360 and a wii. BEST DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE !!! :D

The only sane post in this thread.

Ok but it was just a review i found quickly.
You will find that most of the reviews were pretty good including edge magazine who gave it a 7/10 and they are normally pretty hard on games.
This is part of a review from a guy on the gtplanet forum.
If I had to pick one characteristic of the physics that makes me rate it so highly its something that GT5:P, Enthusia, GPL, LFS all have in common. They all punish you if you overdrive the car; smooth inputs, following the line, setting the car up for a corner correctly, etc. All of these games allow a very fast lap to be achieved if you do these things and punish you if you don't. Ferrari Challenge does the same, get the line right through a complex of corners and it feels great, you, the car and the track following together. Get it wrong and it will just be a horrible mess with the car stumbling from missed apex to missed apex.

I like the game and rate the physics engine highly, I think you will as well
