Hi,

I have been wanting to get a pressure washer for a while, mainly for keeping my drive and patio clean but for also the odd blast at the cars. There was a special offer in Sundays Telegraph for a Kärcher K2900M pressure washer for £99.99 inc p&p with free accessories worth £115.

Here are the specs:

100 bar max pressure.
330 litres per hour flow rate.
1.4kw long life induction motor.
4m high pressure hose.
Integral detergent tank.
Vario spray lance.
Dirtblaster lance.
New large surface brush.
T50 patio cleaner.
10 universal clean tabs.

I was thinking this is a great offer, but doing a quick Google search it appears that loads of places are selling this washer with the free accessories for the same price.

Does anyone know if this washer is any good or are there better models / brands on the market? Is a 1.4kW motor much power as they go? I would also like to hear if these circular Patio Cleaner things are any better than using a lance direct?

Cheers :)

I have the same machine, I bought a graded one from ebay for about £70 delivered (including all of those accessories). I'm very impressed, I've jetwashed our cars loads of times, engine parts, the patio etc and it works extremely well. I have nothing bad to say about it. :)

Excellent. How do these circular patio cleaners work then? is there a brush inside or something? Did you feel they were better than a jet?

Put a outdoors in your garden, unless you want to run hose from the kitchen tap. Annoying.
Yep, got an outdoor tap.

it'd like one to clean all the grit from under my arches, i need to clean all that stuff off or my escort will rot like a tomato

You can get one from wickes for about £30 which will clean your patio just fine
Let's face it, you'll only use it once a year after you've played with it :D

To be honest I didn't think to use that patio attachment when I cleaned ours, I hadn't read the instructions so I didn't know it was for that. ;)

All of the dirt came up with the jet alone as it is very powerful.

I use mine all the time, cars, garage floor, cleaning car bits etc. The patio and drive won't need doing for a while but that's not the only use for a pressure washer.

The lance is better for doing the patio, although the patio cleaner is good if you don't want excess spray going everywhere (the lance will flick dirt up onto nearby walls if you're not careful).

Don't these kick the crap out of your paintwork?

If your an idiot and use it close the the paintwork then it can, but if you dont buy one thats stupidly strong and use common sense about the distance to use it away from the car they are fine, ive used one for 2 years without problem.

I got one of these a couple of weeks ago for the same cash at b&q and i think its Money well spent, washes the car well, its got a little hose bit that goes into your choice of wash and wax, i got no complaints, and that power nozzel thingy is great on paths and next doors cats ;)
