Doesn't seem to have the usual "no dogs, no Irish" thing on it.
UK company offering something, and not specifically stating "paddy scum not welcome" (like all those nice ads for ambulancechaser.com), so either it extends to us, or you get a refund/solicitor.

If they only mak offers to England, Scotland and Wales, it's "overclockersGB" not UK.

ROFL :D

Ah man £270 for a gtx280!? Now that is more likely. A 280 is getting more and more tempting by the day

Gibbo, you should mark that the akasa cooler is not suitable for the 4870, i wasted a day messing about and £18 buying that with my 4870, not happy.

Hi there

Why would we do that when it works fine?

We have outfitted several 4870's at OcUK with the Akasa Vortexx cooler with no problems whatsoever. :)

Lol, it works noisier and worse than the stock cooler when you change the fan speed, not the soundest investment ever made thats for sure.

Im sure it works great on a 8800 or a 4850, but the 4870 churns out too much heat for it to be classed as a quiet cooler, if you run a quiet machine, and run with the standard cable that comes with it, its noisy and cools no better than the stock.

Your own shop has also told customers its not recommended, somewhat of a difference to whats been said here. Have a look on the other thread about peoples coolers coming with bits missing, theres a few folk that have put them on 4870's and been less than impressed.
