We've been desperate for a right winger ever since Rafa joined. For one reason or another we've missed out on the likes of Simao, Alves and Mancini but like you say i think Barry and Keane may be it for us this summer (unless we have more cash than we know of (doubt it)). Ive got no problem with us going after a striker before a winger for the reasons i mentioned above but im not sure what it is with Rafa and CM's. Benitez seemed to have made his mind up a while back to sell Alonso and bring in Barry which is fair enough (although i don't agree) but it now looks like Alonso won't be going yet we're still going to be after Barry and seemingly at the expence of a winger.

I don't think you could have signed Alves. Barcelona paid somewhere near £20 million at the beginning of the summer for him.

Drogba said if he doesnt find a club in 10 days (about 6-7 days ago now) he's going to sign a new contract. Sounds like a very strange thing to say if you ask me

But we want to sell Kaboul. We don't want to sell Berbatov or Keane.

Levy is absoultely spot on. Ferguson is being a hypocrite of the highest order.

He says Ronaldo isn't going anywhere because he's under contract.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but so is Berbatov and yet he thinks he can have him at the drop of a hat.

Utter ****. I've lost any respect I had for him and the respect I had lost for Levy over Jolgate has been restored.

I don't buy this Kaka to Chelsea story, infact I expect a denial from the club or player later today or tomorrow.

However, if there was any truth to it Chelsea would have an absolutely awesome side, especially if they could keep Drogba. I think they'd pretty much be unstoppable. It'd be a total shift in playing style and pace over one summer.

Apparantly the quotes Fergie made about Berbatov (the ones where he actually names him as the player we're trying to sign, the ones in the Sun) were fabricated on some Norwegian United site.

Do you think that Levy would have reported Ferguson on one comment alone?

He said he has evidence that both managers "have systematically been working to prise the players away from us, outside of PL rules of conduct."

Kaboul is terrible and I'd be happy if Spurs got a packet of wine gums and a tube of pringles for him... shockingly poor decision maker and no matter how much talent he has, his brain won't ever allow him to be a quality defender.

Regardless of wanting to sell Kaboul or not, you can't moan about clubs talking in the press about 1 player and then ignore another club doing the same to another player. If Benitez and Fergie have tapped up Keane and Berbatov because of their comments in the press then so has Redknapp. But like i said last night this has nothing do to with tapping players up, it's just an attempt to take the heat of the Spurs board if and when both players leave.

You're right about Fergie being a hypocrite but so is Levy. You seemed to have forgotten how you got hold of Ramos

levy is a muppet plain and simple

from what i gather fergie said something along the lines of

"were looking to bring a player in and hopefully he'll be signed ASAP."

to compare that with all the stuff real did in terms of trying to sign ronaldo simply does not match, for one fergie didnt even name berbatov.

hell was watching this on sky and straight after harry redknapp came on and said a damn sight more on how he would love to sign Wright philips etc.
