Best place to buy a house in the States?

Seattle's nice I've heard. Never been though.
My brother lives in Edison, NJ. Don't live there. Kind of like Leicester but a lot worse.

Florida/California house prices have been decimated. Go on one of those Florida bank repo tours, the banks will accept anything right now to shore up their liquidity.

I bought a 4 bed 3 bath, sold at $590k in '06, listed at repo $369k, for $215k near Boca. I'm renting it, but I would live there.

What's Atlanta got over Florida?

My sister is planning on a move to Texas, i've had a look at some of the houses over there which they're looking at, and my god they are awesome. 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, pool, double garage, guest house, for like $250,000. Theyd be able to sell their 2 bed terrace over here and move into something quite luxurious over there for the same price.

Dont go to florida, The only time its good to buy property there now is if you are among the ellite.

I strongly suggest Georgia, we have brilliant beaches within a 2 hour drives and some of the nicest homes around.

If your interested add me on msn and I can help you out.

How do they (the us) work out taxes, as a while ago I read they just tax you on your house value even if you dont work etc is that true?
