Need surround sound speakers for PS3 (And PC)

Can someone please recommend me some surround sound speakers for my PS3? Is it even possible? As far as I can tell the PS3 only has Digital Out and HDMI.
What about Soundbars? I've read lots of good reviews about them. I don't want wires so they have to be wireless.

Logitech Z5500's.

Amazing for movies and games but crap for music. I have my PC (3 phono cables for 5.1 sound), Wii (phono cable for dolby PLII) and 360 (optical) all plugged in at once and used an optical splitter for when I had a PS3.

I highly recommend them.
 
The ps3 outputs HD audio through HDMI, so you dont need to connect it via a toslink optical to an amp. What kind of budget are you talking about? Im guessing 5.1 also?
 
Yeah, 5.1. Anything up to £350. I'm alsoo considering a Yamaha Soundbar, I know it's not true surround sound but I like the idea of just having one speaker and no wires. I'll have a look at those Logitech speakers too, thanks :)

They sound great, i just wish they were wireless. I've had a wired setup before and hated it.
 
They come with very long and pretty thin cables. I had no issues tucking them under the carpet or along the skirting board join.

The speakers come with screw holes to be wall mounted and remember with wireless, they all still need power from somewhere and the quality is generally poor.
 
Everyone who has them will vouch for the Z5500s quality and value for money. I dont believe anything competes with them.
 
They are the best 5.1 system for gaming for sub £350 imo as components get expensive very quickly. For £150 they are an absolute bargain too.
 
For £350 you can get a far better system, as stated above wireless surround sound is not the best at the moment.

With your budget I woud get a proper Home all in one system, but since you have a PS3 you may not want a dvd player. But the follwing are very good systems: the Sony DAVIS10 or Sony HTSF 1300. There are some very good Samsung ones also. The Yamaha AV package 63 can be had for under £200 aswell. Some of these systems will be pushing out over a 1000 Watts, so I hope you have understanding neighbours :D

if they were pushing out 1000 watts then amplifier alone would be costing over a grand lol
