Are you seriously unaware that cars can be crashed and that this has been known to cause injury/death to the people inside? :confused:

The concept I was trying to get across is that children are more at risk here then they would be in a hotel room. Yet no one would think of berating parents who put their children at such an increased level of risk in a car

:) The website you mention is about home safety. Since the majority of cars are driven outside the home I'm not surprised they aren't one of the largest causes of accidents here.

Portuguese police have now shelved the case, and perhaps more importantly have cleared the McCann's and Robert Murat of their official suspect status. Hopefully this will lead to an end of the circus of leaks and smear campaigns and the focus can once again return to finding out what happened to Maddy.
 
What's so special about this girl to get so much media attention for over a year? Kids get killed, captured, etc, on any given day, but this one deserves front page news for 15 months?

Can someone explain why, please?

Gets more papers sold when you attach onto one single stolen/murdered kid.
 
So does this mean that they're now free to spend all that lovely free money they were showered with?

1. If kids are being killed then we hear about it, and then we don't as the murderer is caught, then convicted.

2. Kids don't get captured all that often actually. Although you wouldn't know it from some of the hysterical posters in this thread ("ZOMG you don't let you kids out of sight for one second" :rolleyes: ) Those that are kidnapped usually end up found dead or alive within a few days, Maddy fate is still undetermined, hence the media interest.

So does this mean that they're now free to spend all that lovely free money they were showered with?

Hopefully free to spend it on private detectives who will no doubt do a better job than the Portuguese police :mad:
 
if your talking about the madeline fund, then no they can't spent it on what ever. It has to go towards finding maddy.

Now they have been cleared you have to accept that they where only silly for leaving her on her own and nothing more. They certainly don't serve all the flak they have got.
 
It could happen like that one I must have seen about 6 -12months ago about the girl who developed a positive relationship with her captor and lived with him for 15 years or something?

The flak they have received for killing her or not or the flak about leaving her while they went out on the lash?
