Using wlan allways goes to thee.co.uk (N95)

Hello

Im trying to use my wlan on my n95 to use all the aplications like video centre and also use all the bookmarks allready in the phone.

I have it set so that it asks me what access point i want to use so i choose my wlan.

The problem is it allways goes to www.three.co.uk no matter what i click in bookmarks or aplications or video centre?

Any ideas?

Sure that you mean that's not just your browsers homepage? You can change that, or then browse t a different site after that. Unless three really **** around with the phones....

Thats what im beginning to think! No matter what aplications i try with the wlan it takes me to three.co.uk, i goto "bookmarks" and then "youtube" or "games" or "facebook" and it all goes to three.co.uk.....

Very anoyying to say the least! I think debranding the phone wouldnt work either as i have read about loosing your free skype/msn and not having a link to "my3" so not knowing what your bills are ect

You can download the apps again and they work the same. Ive done it.

So you can reinstall skype and msn (read that you need a special version of msn to work for free) and its still free?

Also what happens to 'my3' and 'launcher' do they get deleted completely? can you reinstall 'my3' ?

There is a link to download skype and msn on the services page. You can't install the msn client on a debranded n95 but there is a modified one out there that you can install and will still give you free msn. If you're on x-series it will hardly use up any bandwidth anyway...

You do lose the launcher app but it seemed pretty pointless to me anyway. My 3 is just a web page (mobile.three.co.uk) . As long as you use the 3 access point for visiting the 3 website you will still be able to get to my 3. The bookmark to it even stayed there after debranding. If you still want it to be on the right soft-key you can customise that to any bookmark in settings->personalise->standby mode->shortcuts

I don't know what the issue could be with wlan as it worked fine for me before debranding. Maybe a problem with old firmware? would be a bit of a weird one though

thats a great help i think i have found this modified version of msn so hopfully i can get the things back after putting debranded firmware on. I have been fiddling about for the last hour and everything still goes to three.co.uk so im gonna debrand it.

I dont have x-series or any thing like that but know i get free skype and msn and ebay i think.

Its on v20.0.0 blah blah so its on a pritty recent one if not the most recent? anyways thanks again!

Yeh mine was on the same as the latest when I got it a couple of weeks ago, still better after debranding though as you have slightly more capability for most things
