Yeah okay, lol.

What's so funny?

You make it sound like Mac users don't mock Windows users.

Well, i have never mocked windows users. If the conversation comes up i usually get slated instantly. I don't ever berate PC users for using Windows. I wasn't talking about Mac users collectively i was talking about myself.

That is exactly my point! :)

At the moment though my time and effort is being put towards my car. So i still am modding but towards my car instead of the PC.

Good for you, and I have never openly mocked a Mac user.

But I have been mocked by Mac users, of course it didn't take long to shut them up.

Haha - yes, sorry I am extraordinarily ignorant! I forget macs rock and PCs suck ;) I had the one button laptops in mind as it goes but while we are on the subject, repackaging a run of the mill PC product in a shiny white, wipe clean casing, removing some of its functionality, increasing the price and giving it a really, really stupid name, is so typical of Apple. The Mighty Mouse - pllllllease, Apple really rocked the world with their wirelss two button mouse (yes I know about the 360 degree wheel, big wows.) Could they not even be bothered coming up with a new rubbish name, they had to plagiarise one from a rubbish 80s tv character.

The laptops have one physical button but have a right click functionality built in.

Most PC users tend to go on about a 'lack of functionality' when speaking about Macs, when in fact they mean 'a lack of me knowing wtf I'm doing if I'm not on Windows'.

You don't like it because you've not used it. Granted, you've every right to still not like it once you know how it actually works, but spazzing out about Macs being style over substance is just silly. There's plenty of substance, it's just that prodding at the mouse in the Purple Shirt shop isn't the best way to learn.
But I have been mocked by Mac users, of course it didn't take long to shut them up.

How did you do that then?

Unless it was physical violence, we're not big on that. We're too sensitive and artistic

Yeah, i just hate the fact that everyone thinks if you own a mac your a die hard zealot who hates Windows with a passion.

I chose this platform not for the hate of Windows but for other reasons.

I'm in the same boat as 5bjoshua, been into my watercooling back in the day when I had to pull my radiator out of a scrapped car, built PC's for years and play loads of PC games.

But now I'm 25 got a flat, a job etc. etc. just haven't got the time or patience with building/upgrading/overclocking/upgrading more selling on for a massive loss.

I'm much the same, just haven't got the time to mess around these days, I want a machine that it's job without any hassle and my mac does that just fine.

Custom building machines was fun when I was a teenager but if I bought a windows machine tomorrow it'd likely be a HP workstation or something, less hassle, they'll fix it if it breaks...I don't really want to spend my spare time coaxing some overclocker monster back into life these days...
