Emo's in Apple shop

A lot of Apple owners have social problems, unfortunately a side effect here it's meant that the iPhone threads are all in the Apple section rather than the mobile phone section so they don't have to deal with 'normal' people. I am sometimes embarassed to own an Apple when I read there.

One mouse button! It's not 1984.

I'm sorry but that's just a very ignorant post... Apple has 3 mouse buttons~ At least since the "Mighty Mouse" been introduced, it has been.

I find some Apple users are snobs because they think they're better for using something they prefer to Windows users, who may or may not prefer their systems.

I also find other system users being ignorant of Apple software and products because they compare their Oranges to an Apple. Both are fruits, but have different taste and packaging. Some like more Vitamin C whilst others like it crispy.

I don't dress myself so no it dosen't apply

<_<
>_>

i'll pop round later mate

"arms up!"

...

this is how it goes..

ultranoobs = pc from a shop
average joe = pc from online
pro (think they're pro, actually a noob) = mac
real pro = custom built

@ OP,
God tell me about it, here in Glasgow the Apple Store is infested, not so much with Emo's but the 13-15 year old schoolgirls just using Photobooth.
I hate sounding old but if those are the next generation I fear for my life! :p

I don't get this whole PC Vs. Mac debate.

I use a Mac and have done for the past year and a half. Before this i was a die hard PC fanboy. Overclocked, tweaked and built PC's for a few years while going to school.

The main reason i moved to the Mac platform is that i was tired of upgrading and keeping on top of windows all the time. The depreciation put me off somewhat aswell when i bought an X1900XT-X for £300 then sold it 6 months down the line for £100.

Once learnt, i found Tiger/Leopard very easy and one big thing is that most programs needed for everyday things are built in. Disk Utility is amazing!

What i don't get is when PC users bait Mac users for no reason at all. I was on Xbox with some guys from here and i said i use a Mac and then it was a one sided slagging match towards myself for no reason at all besides me saying i own and primarily use Macs. I'm not a blind zealot who has only ever used macs and forces my so called "religion" onto other people so i didn't understand why i was getting berated the way i was.

Haha - yes, sorry I am extraordinarily ignorant! I forget macs rock and PCs suck ;) I had the one button laptops in mind as it goes but while we are on the subject, repackaging a run of the mill PC product in a shiny white, wipe clean casing, removing some of its functionality, increasing the price and giving it a really, really stupid name, is so typical of Apple. The Mighty Mouse - pllllllease, Apple really rocked the world with their wirelss two button mouse (yes I know about the 360 degree wheel, big wows.) Could they not even be bothered coming up with a new rubbish name, they had to plagiarise one from a rubbish 80s tv character.

I'm in the same boat as 5bjoshua, been into my watercooling back in the day when I had to pull my radiator out of a scrapped car, built PC's for years and play loads of PC games.

But now I'm 25 got a flat, a job etc. etc. just haven't got the time or patience with building/upgrading/overclocking/upgrading more selling on for a massive loss.

So I bought a 24" imac, it is sublime, takes up next to no space, brilliant for everything I do, I play a bit of day of defeat and Eve on Windows on it and I use OS X for everything else, keeping updated with work shcedules, emails etc. so much easier.

I miss building PC's but damn if I've saved money, I had an 8800GTS and would ave gone to an 8800GT then to the new ATI card, as that's what I have always done. I find that most people just **** either side off and I hate that.
PC's are way ahead of macs in some ways and Macs are way ahead of PC's in other ways, there are cons and benefits to each.

Personally I could never go back to just a PC, as my imac lets me access the best of both worlds :)

tired of upgrading and keeping on top of windows all the time

Yeah okay, lol.

one big thing is that most programs needed for everyday things are built in

If Microsoft did this then Mac users would call it "bloatware", and monopolistic business practices. Not only that but the EU authorities and the US department of justice would probably all have a simultaneous heart attack.

What i don't get is when PC users bait Mac users for no reason at all.

You make it sound like Mac users don't mock Windows users.
