No, not passively. You don't have enough surface area. Have a look at two Innovatek Konvekt-o-matiks in series. That'd do it.

i want to water cool but my case is a silverstone tj09 ,it was a toss up between the 09 and the 07 when i bought it but i chose the 09 because i though i would never be interested in water cooling .Over the past week ive googled loads of reviews and i know you can fit rads internally in the tj09 like so http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/system-builder-marathon,1797-8.html but ive decided on external rads with looks and performance being important, so any help or suggestions would be more than welcome .:) dont fancy the bolted on the back idea either.

bloody hell!!!!

thats wicked!

It must weigh a ton? I've just been manhandling my 120.3 and its quite a weighty thing when full of water, especially when it decides its given in to mavity (which happens when you undo all the screws and then hold the wrong bit lol!)

lol :-)

Yes its quite heavy when full of water, although taking a long time to bleed it so probably still an amount of air in it:rolleyes:
Its only held up temporarily on a thin bar through a pair of the slots in the drive bay assembly at one end and resting on the PSU mounting cage in the top of the case (it has one at the bottom as well which is where the PSU is) at the other end. Not for long I hope!

Mind you dont scratch or chip the paint on that nice case of your's ;).

performance results :) .

OK here's a quick test

Q6600 @3.4Ghz, 1.30V; 8800GTX @ 650/1500/2000; mosfet and NB waterblocks

OCCT 30 mins 100% CPU

PA 120.3 with 3 S-Flex E @ 900RPM
Room temp 22 C
CPU load temp max 50/50/47/47

TFC480 with 4 San Ace @1090RPM (to my ears slightly quieter :))
Room temp 25 C
CPU load max temp 47/47/44/44

Allowing for the difference in air temp thats's about a 5 deg C improvement. Also the system is not properly bled yet and I am running the pump at 2/3 of the speed used for the PA 120.3 test (helps bleeding).
So should be fine for a 4870X2 instead of the GTX:)

Finished!

OK grill is painted and installed , and the rad is now mounted properly. Removed top PSU cage as well :)
