and accounts with various etailers) to a more secure provider and if so who should i go with?
this is why i use my ISPS email service, if anything ever goes wrong i know i can contact them and get it resolved easy.
i dont understand why people use free email accounts for etailers etc

Give me £100 and i will give you the email account back.

My ISPs webmail sucks (lack of features/pleasing GUI, gmail pwnz), no IMAP, can only have [email protected].![]()

But what happens when you change ISPs? Utter, utter pain. If you want the best of both worlds then you can get a paid email account on your own domain for about a 10er a year. You might not get as good a webmail system as the likes of hotmail but you get the same security advantages as an ISP mail account, and you can keep the same address and move it to any provider.this is why i use my ISPS email service, if anything ever goes wrong i know i can contact them and get it resolved easy.
