My Focus CC has a pretty heafty bit over the windscreen and the driver seat seems pretty sturdy - additionally at the rear there are hidden inverted 'U' roll bars that eject if the car is detected as flipping over - suspect that the new fiesta will be the same sort of thing...

That Fiat looks nasty....

Most cars look good minus the roof - e36 BMW springs to mind, so much better than the saloon etc.

Scania Trucks should NOT have their roofs chopped!

It's not offiially a soft-top car but I saw someone at a car show who had modded their Corsa W plate with a retracting roof! :rolleyes:

All down to personal preferences. I loved the A3 cabriolet so much that I ordered one (although not one costing £34k, that is over the top). With the roof up, yeah its not the best looking car but with the roof down its just sex on wheels.

I think some people just have a hatred for convertibles in general for some reason. I agree that the new wave of hard top convertible small cars do look ugly with their long boots, but soft top cars can look amazing.

with the roof up it almost looks like a top gear project

s197 Mustang, like the majority of cars unless it was designed as a soft-top from the start it doesn't look good.

The e46 BMW is actually on car I like as a soft-top.
