Hi.

I accidently reversed into a side hedge in my drive and my passenger door mirror has come off. There does not appear to be any damage to the mirror mount or the mirror itself.

How do I go about putting the mirror back on the mount?

Thanks.
Jon

The part thats come off, is it the mirror housing that attaches to the arm (the bit that you can fold the mirror back on) or the bit that attaches to the door?

The mirror itself has come off the arm. The back of the mirror does not appear to have snapped off or forcefully come off. When I tried to put it back on it was very loose and came off as soon as I shut the door. There is still a bit of white gunk on the flat pivot bit.

Thank you so much for your time.

I think the pivot point has a large coiled spring which allows the mirror to snap backwards and forwards.

If you take the mirror housing off the door (Look inside the car pull the mirror cap off and it should be a few screws, you might be able to sort this)

I will have a look in the Haynes manual for you tonight, it might detail what to do.
