works out a £88 inc shipping i was desperate as i did not want to use the air cooler

Quite expensive though for cooling! :eek:
 
Indeed expensive for a full block.

If it was the price of most fc water blocks then it would be worth it, especially as the VRMs on the 4870s need more cooling than their 4850 counterparts.
 
Nice. My m8 has two of these on order for his 4870s. Should stop the 80'C idle temp out :p.
 
Do you have any pics of the rear of the block - i.e. does it have the cut out for the tall components that are between the ram chips and vregs?
 
i have some more pics at home which i can post , but yeah it is stepped so the higher components (with pulse and vitec on them )are not touched by the sink then as it gets to the edge the other lower components are covered, you grease the gpu and ram and put pads on the smaller voltage components.
